Our hearts are broken to have said goodbye to him in this life. Brian was born February 5, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Olympus High School, attended the University of Utah and studied architecture at Salt Lake Community College. Brian was sealed to his eternal sweetheart, Jeanne, on November 15, 1973, in the Salt Lake Temple. Brian was most happy while outdoors enjoying God’s creations. Nothing could bring a smile to his face like a good day of fishing. He loved wood carving and painting, sharing his artistic abilities and skills with many using his talented hands. Some of his favorite things in the world were long talks and drives with his brother Larry, vacations with family, classic cars and oldies music. When his granddaughter, Karsyn, was informed of Brian’s passing, she responded that he now gets to be with Bob Ross and some of the Beatles. Brian was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Los Angeles, California Mission and worked many years in the scouting program. He provided for his family working 40 years at Envirotech Products in plastic molding and made many wonderful friends there. We will miss his stories and his awesome dad jokes (…it’s all over town). We love you Brian and we will miss you so much! We’ll keep cheering for your Utes and Packers. Brian is survived by his loving wife Jeanne of 47 years, children Jeff (Patty), Jody (Jon) Baclayon, Julie and Jason; five grandchildren (Kaleb, Calloway, Titus, Maya, Karsyn); his first great granddaughter arriving soon; brother Larry (Dalene) and sister Barbara Blau; mother-in-law Nola Bunkall, five brothers and sisters-in-law and their spouses; numerous nieces and nephews. Those that have greeted him on the other side are his father LeRoy, mother Lucy, sisters Betty (Dale) Olson, LaRee (Glenn) Cheshire; brother-in-law Gilbert Blau; father-in-law Mel Bunkall and nephew Dallas Bunkall. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Jenkins-Soffe. Attendance at the funeral services is by invitation only due to COVID-19 restrictions. There will be a viewing by invitation only from 10:00 -10:45 am prior to the funeral services. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 W 4100 S. The family wishes to give thanks for the abundant outpouring of love and concern from so many friends and family. Don’t worry – Be happy – I’ve gone fishing!
