Obituary

Loving Mom, Soul mate, and friend. Joanne Mauss Buck passed away on July 3, 2021 of natural causes.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alma and Therza Pope Mauss on Nov 7, 1950. She grew up in Salt Lake City Utah, later moved to Sandy, and graduated from Olympus High School in 1969

She married Jeffrey Buck June 16, 1979, whom later passed away on March 11, 1989.

In 1999, she met her lifelong friend and companion Doug Vriens, and spent the rest of her life making wonderful memories. She worked at Thompson Beachcraft Airlines, and over the past 35 years, she was a nail technician in which her clients became her very close friends.

Her daughter Erin was her best friend and they spent a lot of time together. Early next year she was looking forward to being the best Grandma ever!

Jo was a loving, caring, giving person with a heart of gold and always put others first. She loved spending time at their cabin, gardening, working in the yard, riding her Harley, cooking and trying new recipes.

She is survived by Erin Buck, Daughter, Doug Vriens Companion, and his children; Mickey Vriens (Chante), Brandie Silver (Randy), Todd Burton (Nickell), Adam Vriens (Brandi), Zach Vriens (Kim). Now re-united with her parents Alma and Therza and her 4 sisters Katherine Gustafson, Barbara Dorthy Starlight, Carolyn Snow, and Linda Kelsey.

A celebration of life and will be announced in the future.
